Finding home insurance

For me it has come to that time of year, where I have to renew my home insurance. With all the economic turmoil of the last year and a half, my fees with the company I was with had gone up… by rather an alarming amount… oh my…
So armed with the knowledge that it is in fact possible to not be so soundly brutalised by your insurance companies fees, I set out to find a good insurance rate!
Then I realised how much effort that was and hired these insurance brokers to do all that for me… You may laugh, but going through all that effort to find the best deal would have been exhausting! Trying to find a good insurance deal is best left to professionals, I am sure of that!
Ahhh, so I have been playing computer games and generally relaxing for the last few days instead of that project. I went shopping – online of course, I have learned my lesson – and bought a great gift for my SO. Since she played a Minstrel on LOTRO, she has wanted a Bodhrán, so I am surprising her with one… now I just have to hope she doesn’t read this before it turns up… I also sat for a whole hour uninterrupted today, and read my book, a re-read of the Song of Ice and Fire books before (hopefully) the next installment comes out late this year, and even caught up on some good blogs.
So those insurance broker people got back to me within a few days, and now I have brand new home insurance, that isn’t costing me more than the rent on a small archipelago. Now that’s a few days well spent! In all seriousness, I could get used to paying other people to do stuff for me that I don’t want to, or am too lazy to do. Especially when I can say it works out this well!
